Tea Ingredients

  • 2 bags black tea or 1 tablespoon loose black tea
  • ½ cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice juice from half a lemon
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions
 

Tea Preparation

  • Put tea bags and ½ cup of hot water into a teapot.
  • Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags.
  • Stir in sugar until it dissolves. Add lemon juice and ½ cup of cold water.
  • Place in the refrigerator for for 30 minutes to cool.
  • Pour cooled down tea into a cup with ice.

Notes

You can use any black tea to make this recipe. Adjust sweetness and garnish with lemon or fresh herbs like mint or basil for added flavor. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
